You don't have to be a mixologist to make next-level seasonal cocktails, especially during the summer when a huge variety of produce is available at your local farmer's market. I always try to take advantage of what's in season, and a delicious cocktail (or dish) doesn't require much else when you start with really amazing ingredients.

I used blackberries in this Moscow Mule, the mild sweetness of the blackberries are a perfect match with the bite of ginger beer, but I encourage you to try it with your favorite berry or fruit. While you're at it, try muddling fresh fruit into your next mojito (strawberry mojitos are insanely delicious, trust me), caiprioska, or blend it into a daiquiri. Stay away from expensive and overly sweet premade mixes, and stay tuned for more super fresh cocktail o'clock recipes!

Blackberry Moscow Mule
Makes 1 Drink

6 blackberries
2 ounces vodka
Ginger beer
Mint

Muddle blackberries in a cocktail shaker until almost pureed. Fill with ice and add 2 ounces vodka. Shake well and strain into a glass filled with ice. Top with ginger beer and garnish with mint to serve.
